The Heroes of Olympus: The Son of Neptune

I promise for the 2nd one, and taa-daa I come!

Okay, I'm back for The Son of Neptune. The 2nd book tells from Roman's side. There are Percy Jackson (actually from Greek), Hazel, and Frank. Yap, they're the other choosen Demigod. The Son of Neptune tells about Percy Jackson, he's son of Neptune-in Roman, or Poseidon-in Greek.

Actually, in Indonesia, the cover is the three who ride Arion-the special horse. This pic I got from www.rickriordan.com

Honestly, I got a kind of trouble in reading the second book, because all Gods name changed. I've been familiar with Greek names, now from the Roman's. Pretty confused.

It tells the story of the mission of the three. Mission against Gaea's child, Alcyoneus, a creepy huge-giant. (Can you imagine a-huge-giant?). But the most important figure here isn't Percy Jackson but Frank Zhang, son of Mars-in Roman, Ares in Greek, the God of war. Frank is the leader of this mission. But somehow, I think their strength in this second book is really "fantasy". That is, when I compared to the first book, the power of Jason, Piper, and Leo, are more realistic. Every each Percy, Hazel, and Frank use their strengths, I always say "Wow Gilak!" or "Shit dude, no way!"

Surely this mission also given by Juno (Hera), and obviously the three of them successfully completed. Again, the ending is hanging. Ended by the arrival of Leo's warship with his friends to the Romans to join Percy and the gang.

But somehow I prefer the first book, I get more emotional. Don't forget, the love story too, hahaha.

That's all I can give. Well, #1st NYT Best Seller won't dissapointed you :D

See ya on the next babblement. Hasta La Vista!
